Maurizio Bezzeccheri was born in 1958 and graduated cum laude in Chemical Engineering. He has held management positions in several multinational companies in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and South-East Asia.

He began his career in the petrochemical area of the Mannesmann group (1986) before moving to ILVA (1992) and then General Electric (1996), where he worked in the oil and gas sector. 

He joined the Enel Group in 1999; among other positions, he served first as Head of Enel Green Power’s Europe Area and subsequently Head of the Iberia Area and Latin America Area. From 2015 to July 31, 2018, he was Country Manager for Argentina, where the Enel Group operates in the sectors of energy generation, transmission, distribution, and sales. 

On August 1, 2018, he was appointed the Group’s Head of the South America Region, which became the Latin America Region on July 1, 2019, thus incorporating the Group’s activities in Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Panama.
