Our technologies

Thanks to the technologies of Enel X, the two competitions combine high-speed thrills with electric mobility. As the Official Smart Charging Partner and Official Power Partner, we provide Formula E with the JuicePump Formula E Edition charging infrastructure that enables the single-seaters to complete the race with a single charge of energy. As Title Sponsor and Official Smart Charging Partner, we also provide MotoE with the charging infrastructure and solar panels that power the e-paddock with renewable energy. The goal is to make Moto E the world’s most advanced sustainable mobility event.

The ABB FIA Formula E Championship

The electric racing car championship that is part of the official FIA global calendar is now set for its eighth edition. This year will see various new features: a new stage in Vancouver; up to ten minutes of extra time added onto the races, to make up for the time when the Safety Car or Full-Course Yellow are deployed; an increase in power from 200 to 220 kW for the Gen2 cars; and, finally, the introduction of a new qualifying format with a group session and a knockout session.

The Moto E World Championship

The fourth edition of the electric motorcycle world championship has adopted a new format and has added two new stages (Mugello and KymiRing). There will be two free practice sessions and a qualifying session on the Friday, and two races – one on Saturday and the other on Sunday. The E-Pole will be replaced by traditional qualifying sessions. The format for the qualifying sessions will consist of three phases: Q1 for the ten slowest drivers (10 minutes), a ten-minute break, Q2 for the eight fastest drivers (10 minutes). All of the races will be held in Europe, on the same weekend as the MotoGP. All of the competing riders will use the same model of motorcycle, a Supersport that can reach speeds of 270km/h, accelerating from 0 to 100 in three seconds, with zero CO₂ emissions.
